Being a single working mom, things can tend to become rerailed. When life happens, the only thing to do is to keep going. We didn’t get to finish our ‘No Spend November’, but we’re not going to let it stop us.
Where did I go?
The last time I spoke to you all I was diving head first into ‘No Spend November’ and was holding strong. I had our entire month planned out and prepared to tackle everything that came my way to keep our little family on track for our ‘No Spend’ month. However, I recently started a new work from home job, and it’s training was pretty intense. Eight weeks of intense training followed by an assessment at the end of the eight weeks that would essentially determine my future with the company I’m finally finished and will be starting my live production this week! YAY!
Here’s the hard part
This past weekend I’ve been developing a schedule to get us back on track, not only with our YouTube channel and Blog, but with our everyday life behind the scenes. And after much evaluation, and many revisions, I finally developed a schedule that works with my job, Homeschooling, and our Social Media presence. Since I did well in training, I was able to get first pick with my schedule. Which includes early mornings and early nights. Since Moriya is in Pre-K her homeschooling schedule is pretty short. Most of her day will include independent play, supervised arts and crafts, and brief fifteen-minute lessons, quiet time, and screentime. Jashya is currently in virtual school so her lessons are with her online teachers. Since I get off early our evenings will consist of family time, homework, dinner, and a quiet reset before bed. (Which I’m most excited about) Getting the kids (and myself) accustomed to a new schedule is going to be the most challenging part.
What to expect
Okay, so realistically, I know to set low expectations. My goal is to get so comfortable in our schedule that we’re able to at least get back to traveling every three months and continuing our day-to-day content. Since our ‘ No Spend November’ was incomplete, I’m looking forward to continuing it into the month of December and even into January. All was not lost for ‘No Spend November’, because I was stuck in the house with training for the month, it was actually pretty easy to stay on track with not spending.
In the upcoming months, I’m looking to under promise and under deliver. With extending our ‘No Spend November’ into December I’m looking to be able to share the end goal with my small group of followers (once we get there). As we step into this exciting next chapter, Iโm thrilled to have you along for the journey! Whether itโs more tips for navigating everyday life, behind-the-scenes glimpses into our adventures, or fresh insights on the topics that matter most to us, thereโs so much to look forward to.
This space will continue to be a place for real talk, laughter, and inspiration, and I canโt wait to share whatโs coming next. So, stay tuned, keep following, and letโs see where this journey takes us togetherโbecause the best is yet to come!
